I can't believe my little munchkin is almost a year old! Crazy!

At 11 months she:

- Is the sweetest little munchkin! Hardly ever cries and has taken it upon herself to start slowly giving up the bink!

- Has the most amazing hair! She definitely got this from her dad, I was completely bald at this age.

- Says three words and knows what they mean and who they are. Her first word was "puppa" (puppy, you can tell who her favorite is), followed by "dada" and "mama".

- Sleeps like a champ. Still sleeps 12+ hours each night and has finally gotten into a schedule of two 2 hour naps a day.

- Loves to talk to Grandma Majors on the phone! She shakes with excitment and waves to the phone the whole time.

- Loves to brush her teeth!

- Is a picky picky picky eater! Like many other babies I have heard about lately, she will love something one day and refuse it the next.

- Snorts when she laughs!

- Has just barely, like in the last few days, started army crawling. She has always gotten up on her hands and knees but still has not put that together with moving forward.

- Sits up and stands up on her own! I still have yet to find her standing in her crib but she stands at the couch all the time.

- Will not walk even when holding on to our hands. She just starts to fuss and sits down.

- Loves other kids and is a great sharer!

- Loves the iPad! It is for sure her favorite toy!

- Will not wear shoes. No matter how baby proof I think they are, she finds a way to get them off.

- Loves to be in the shopping cart!

- Loves to clap, give fives and wave.

- Loves Rodizio Brazilian Grill! Freaks out when we walk in the door.

- Loves her puppy! He has finally come around to her being a part of the family and gives her sweet kisses!

- Still hates the car!

- Still loves her bumbo!

- Still suffers from neck spasms on a regular basis and has had to visit the physical therapist, chiropractor and ophthalmologist. At a year, we will most likely be sent to a neurologist at Primary Childrens.

- Has started to really like cows milk (as long as it is warm).

- Is still a champ nurser!

- Wears size 3 diapers.

- Wears 9-12 month clothes.

We adore our munchkin!

It's hard to believe my sweet little girl is already 9 months old! She really is the joy of our lives!

At nine months, miss E...

hardly ever cries! (A huge difference from her younger days)
still HATES the car seat!
still loves bath time more than any other time in the day.
wants so badly to play with Rex but he still will not go near her.
sleeps 11-12 hours each night.
is getting better at naps but usually only sleeps for about 45 min in the morning and an hour or so in the afternoon.
has her two bottom front teeth and the top two are almost through. The last few nights have been so fun!
LOVES to play peek-a-boo by putting anything over her eyes.
throws things, especially her bink, just to watch me pick it up.
gives kisses and high fives.
is trying so hard to crawl and has become very good at slithering herself around on her tummy.
is standing more and more. (I am beginning to think she may never crawl, I never crawled and went right to walking at 11 months)
has very POOFY hair!

loves her Baby Einstein DVDs.
hates baby food. Refuses to eat anything mommy and daddy are not eating.
is great at drinking out of a sippy cup.
gets SO excited when daddy comes home from work.
scares easily at sudden loud noises.
LOVES ice cream and frozen yogurt.
pulls my hair non-stop and laughs when I say "ouch."
is not biting yet. (Thank heavens!)
loves to people watch.
talks in her sleep.
loves her cousins and already has a special bond with Megan.
hits anything and everything.
says mama and dada.
loves to hang up-side-down.
is still wearing some of her 3-6 months clothes but has mostly moved on to 6-9 months.
wears size 3 diapers.
weighs in at 18 lb and is 27 in long.

Our little one has changed so much over the last few months. At sixth months she...

- is such a happy and calm baby.

- is now taking great naps during the day but no longer sleeping well at night.

- is rolling like crazy.

- is happiest on the ground left alone.

- puts everything in her mouth.

-loves to pull moms hair.

- picks up anything and everything she can lift.

- is starting to sit on her own. She can sit for a few minutes if she is not paying attention.

- really doesn't like food. She is happy with her mommy milk.

- loves to have water dripped into her mouth from a straw.

- is starting to drink form a sippy cup.

- will no longer take a bottle.

- is a pretty good little traveler.

- responds to her name.

- still loves bath time more than anything.

- loves to blow raspberries with her lips.

- never stops talking.

- has hair that never lays down.

- loves the Christmas tree lights and ornaments. I cant leave her alone too long in the front room or she will make her way under the tree and start pulling things off.

- is OBSESSED with my cell phone. Whines and cries every time I use the phone and she cant have it. She has called 3 people and counting without me knowing. Dang touch screen lock is definitely not baby proof.

- still wakes up every night for her binky. She puts it in her own mouth all day but at night wants us to do it for her.

- is showing no sign of teeth. (thank goodness)

- has never liked her bumbo for more than a few minutes at a time.

- still hates the swing. (waste of money)

- loves to throw things just to watch me pick them up.

- wears size 2 diapers.

- still mostly wears 3 month clothes but is starting to fit into 6 months.

- is the most wonderful blessing!

Now that I seem to have this mothering thing somewhat under control, I thought I would give you a little update on our little one.

At 2 months, 4 weeks and 2 days, Miss Eleanor...

... loves her daddy more than anything. He can make her laugh more than anyone and she already has him wrapped around her little finger.

... loves bath time!

... is a horrible nurser. Always has been and looks like she always will be.

... will take a bottle but does not love it.

... still has horrible acid reflux. Has been on prevacid since 2 weeks of age.

... hates taking any form of medicine. Will projectile vomit if it is not given right before a feeding. Of course vomited up the 2 month vaccine given by mouth.

... has always been a great sleeper and napper but is starting to change her ways. Looks like she has gotten use to being held, time to buy a sleep help book.

... started sleeping through the night (mostly, of course) at 1 month

... sleeps on her side.

... loves to be swaddled.

... hates being in her car seat.

... hates the swing, sure glad we wasted money on that!

... does not like to be held. She would much rather be left alone on the ground on a blanket.

... was born with a pretty sever case of torticollis. She sees a physical therapist every two weeks and has to do daily stretches and 20 min of tummy.

... hates tummy time!

... at 2 months, was holding her head like a 4 month old. Thanks tummy time!

... pushes herself forward with her little legs when on her tummy.

... is very strong.

... loves to laugh and smile!

... has always loved her binky but has now decided her hand tastes better.

... will only take a soothie binky. I swear I have tried every other kind!

... loves to be outside looking at the sky.

... will tolerate her infant chair but only for 20 mins at a time.

... loves to watch toys and will occasionally hit them but I don't think it is intentional yet.

... talks and wiggles almost as much as her mommy. (as her daddy would say)

... hates to have cold feet. Always does better with socks on.

... loves her big brother and all his wet kisses.

... wants to always see what is going on. Always has to be carried facing forward.

... likes watching tv.

... loves to fuss at church.

... loves to watch the weirdos at walmart.

... lost most of her hair a few weeks after birth but now has fresh new fuss growing. She had a pretty bad mullet there for a while.

... seems to have a little red in her hair.

... just barely starting to be too long for her newborn clothes. 0-3 months, here we come!

... wearing size 1 diapers.

... still under the 50th percentile for everything.

And, because, by some weird coincidence, I got an email from them today letting me know that they are now serving American Bison. No, I will probably not eat it, but I like to think that they knew it was my birthday and sent the email out today just to let me know they were thinking of me.

I have promised myself that I will only go to the salad bar once and only have one bite of each of my favorite meats. I hate leaving there feeling so overwhelmingly full.

Caller: "Hi, I am looking for Phil, is this his house."

Me: "Nope, I am sorry Sir, this is a business."

Caller: "Ohhhh..???"

Me: "This is the office of Craig Ainge CPA."

Caller: "Oh, ok, I guess I have the wrong number."

Me: "Well you have a good day anyway Sir."

Caller: "You're welcome."

You're welcome! What should I be welcome for??? For you wasting my time by calling the wrong number? Just thought it was pretty silly!

And on another point, You're Welcome, who came up with that saying??? Where am I welcome? I have never really thought about it before but it really doesn't make sense! Am I missing something? Probably, I will probably look like an idiot when someone reads this... if so, please tell me!

My Birthday on the 19th (Lets just say it will be my 23rd)
BYU vs. OK at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium September 4th - September 6th (I know this is not really in August but we will for sure be looking forward to it this whole month)

In less than 24 hours we will be on our way to visit my parents in the beautiful state of Washington!

Hard to believe that it was 2 whole years ago that these pictures were taken.
(This was when Kenton flew up to meet my parents for the first time before getting engaged. Also the weekend when he first told me he loved me!)

I have made a promise to myself that I will remember to take the camera this next week so, hopefully, I will be posting new pictures when we get back!

Its date night, so we will finish the day:

Eating at Market Street Grill (Mr. Lobster here I come)
Going to see Transformers
And going to bed knowing that I will get to sleep in a little (sleep in for me is 7:30)

On Monday, Kenton made cheesy potatoes.
(funeral potatoes for those of you who know what that is)

We really didn't have all the ingredients but somehow he whipped them together and they were AMAZING!
(I know, I know, after my last post you are thinking, she definitely shouldn't be eating cheesy potatoes, BUT... moderation in all things, right?)

He really is the most wonderful husband!
He cooks for me all the time, takes the dog out at 3:00am every morning, ALWAYS does the laundry (I HATE laundry), works full time, goes to school, and pretty much does anything and everything I ask.
(I promise he is not a slave. I try to do things for him too.)
I love him more than anything!

How did I ever survive with out him? I don't know.

We LOVE Football Season

Kenton and I have both grown up HUGE football fans!
Both of our families had season tickets to the BYU games when we where younger and, since we have been married, we have kept that tradition alive!

We are both very excited for the upcoming season and were a little bummed that the season opener will be played so far away.
Well... all I can say is that we may just be the luckiest kids alive. We found out a few weeks ago that we will be traveling here

on Sept 5, 2009 to watch our Cougs win their opening game against OK!
(yes, I am aware that this is a long shot, but we can pray)

And... if that weren't enough, we will be sitting in one of the executive boxes!
(Kenton's dad has a client that owns a box and is letting his company use it)

Yay for football and wonderful relatives that take us along on amazing vacations!

Let me just start out by saying that I have one of the most amazing friends in the whole world. She is a wonderful mother, wife, piano teacher, designer, chief, seamstress and everything else I aspire to be. She has been such a great friend to me over the years. We meet almost 5 years ago (wow) when we both worked at BYU Independent Study and I was so very lucky to have her as one of my class buddies in all of our design courses.

During my last semester at BYU, I had to take a picture of the Mt. Timpanogos Temple for one of my major classes. I will be the first to admit that the picture I took was nothing special and far from exciting. Well, a little while ago, BriAnna called and ask if she could borrow the picture to use as a gift for a bridal shower. She took the very bland picture and turned it into this...

One thing I LOVE about summer

REAL Salt Lake

Kenton and I decided to share a season ticket package with Adam and Marti this year and went to our first game on Saturday. Sadly, we did not win but we all had a great time anyway!

The new stadium is AWESOME!

Kenton always buys me roses but decide this time to buy a potted plant. It is so very pretty and currently resides on our balcony. I hope to keep it alive for many years. Like every other girl, I LOVE this movie and have wanted to buy it for myself so many times. Now I have it and Kenton will get to watch it even more than they play it on TV.

I know I am not a mother yet but... hopefully... one day I will be!

So... as I am sure you are aware, I have not been very good at this whole blogging thing. I promise we are still alive!

Now that work has slowed down A LOT after tax season, I have decided to try and be better. To catch you up a little (and to write everything down for my own remembrance) I am going to post a bit about the happenings of the last while.

Kenton and I are in living in Pleasant Grove, Utah. We bought a condo here almost a year ago and happily moved out of the Provo/Orem school crowd after I graduated from BYU in April of 2008. Kenton still has a while left of school but we are starting to see the end in sight. We are both working full time Monday through Friday. Kenton works as a software engineer in American Fork, where he has been for 5+ years now, and I am working as an Office Manager for a CPA office in Mapleton. Both of our jobs have been such a blessing in this terrible economic time and we are so very grateful for all of the people we work with.

We have really enjoyed living in Pleasant Grove. We are close to family (Kenton's parents are in American fork and his brother and sister-in-law live in Lindon) and have great neighbors and an awesome ward. A couple of weeks after moving into the new place, we were called as team teachers in the primary. We teach the CTR 8 and VAL 9 class and have loved getting to know the children.

My parents are still in Washington and my brother and his wife (and step son, William) are currently living with them up there. They were all in town this past week to celebrate my dads 80th birthday, and Mitchell and Nadia's sealing. It was wonderful to have them here and great to see family and old friends. Mitchell is hoping to move down next winter to start school at BYU.

Rex, our dog, is doing well. He turned 1 year old on April 10th and is our little baby. He has such a cute little personality and is such a sweetheart to everyone. He has been a great little addition to our family. I know I talk about him like he is a child but until we have some real kids, thats what you get.

Well, for the one or two people that may read this, there is your update! I swear, I am going to try and be better!

Done Done Done!

I have loved my time at Brigham Young University but I am so very excited to be done.

Graduation was wonderful mostly because I opted to pass on the large Commencement Exercises and just go to my smaller College Convocation. I made it across the stage without falling and received my empty folder which will eventually hold my diploma.
(Diplomas are mailed 4-6 weeks later after final grades are posted)
